“A Heart of an Angel” is an organization focused on Children and Fitness. We provide fun, and meaningful outdoor fitness exercise enrichment programs focused on the whole child, mind, body and spirit! We connect children to nature, intentionally use our surroundings as part of our fitness routine and engage children socially and  emotionally. We encourage opportunity for leadership for every child, teach the power of words, positive affirmations and gratitude at the end of every class.

Our goal is to empower and impact children’s lives while having fun!

Our mission Provide outdoor exercise enrichment programs, education, leadership, physical and spiritual fitness for children, building strength, character and confidence in the whole child, mind, body, and spirit

We encourage kids to take screen breaks and get active. Our fitness classes get kids outside in an environment to have fun, get inspired, get moving, and socialize with peers while learning about fitness and spirituality

Spiritual Fitness

Our approach to spiritual fitness at “A Heart of An Angel” is to let children know about the spirit of God in a positive, fun, energetic environment. Children are a blessing, and we want them to know that and let their little lights shine! We remind them that God loves them, and the Golden Rule: to treat others as you want to be treated. We teach kids about the power of words, and end each class ends positive affirmations. I am loved, I am smart, I am strong , I am amazing. We teach kids about gratitude and being thankful. ” A Heart of An Angel ” talks to kids about love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self-control, which are some of the fruits of the spirit of God.

Physical Fitness

Our approach to physical fitness begins with getting kids outside and taking screen breaks. We get kids outside and active! A Heart of an Angel covers all aspects of fitness; endurance, strength and flexibility boot camp style of exercise routines.   Before they know it, they are having fun, while challenging themselves. We empower children teaching them the importance of physical fitness. When we exercise, our body releases chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins trigger positive vibes in our body, spirit and attitude. That’s why people express feelings of joy and happiness after exercising.

Evidence and studies show that exercise:

boosts self esteem
increases energy levels
improves sleep and the ability for focus
wards off anxiety and feelings of depression

These are just a few awesome things that happen when we Get up ,Get out and Get moving!

Serving youth and teaching them about Fitness has been stirring in my heart for many years. Fitness changed the trajectory of my life. Raised solely by my father, I witnessed my mother and sister struggle with mental illness. Fitness was a great outlet and helped me feel confident and secure despite family dynamics. How I got Started-The name Heart of an Angel came to me in a dream.  I knew it would involve children, since my desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children has been a passion of mine for most of my life. My nephew was a big inspiration. I started taking him outside to play when he was two years old. We went on walks, to parks, then hiking when he was four and he loved it!

Although he liked playing games on his tablet, I had a NO SCREENS  policy when he came to visit! Instead, I set up courses in the yard, did drills, parkour around the neighborhood, we hiked and spent time in nature. He wasn’t sure what parkour meant,  but we would jump, run, laugh and in a Big Voice, yell “PARKOUR!”

As a result, he identifies me with being outside which is so Awesome!

One summer day, we went on FB live while running a training course at a park. When I saw the video, I knew  “A Heart of an Angel’s purpose; to impact and empower kids through Physical and Spiritual Fitness.
